The problem: stories, but no numbers

Most online stores work with influencers the same way: send a product, get a story or a reel, then watch whether orders go up. When three creators post the same week, nobody can say who sold. Decisions end up based on follower counts, gut feeling, or screenshots sent by the creator.

Influencer sales tracking answers one question: for each order, which creator brought it? Once that answer is reliable, everything else follows: the commission, which creators to keep, next month’s budget.

Three ways to tie an order to an influencer

1. The tracked link

Each creator gets a link of their own, such as inflow.work/l/amira. The shopper taps it, lands on your store, and the order placed on that page carries the creator’s reference. It is the most precise signal because it does not rely on the shopper’s memory.

2. The personal promo code

The shopper types AMIRA10 at checkout. Handy for stories where few people tap the link, or for a shopper who orders later from another phone. Known limit: a code can travel beyond the creator’s audience. We compare both in promo codes vs tracked links.

3. The tracking script (optional)

A shopper taps today, browses elsewhere, and orders three days later without the code. Without the script, that order is lost to the creator. With the tracking script on the store, the tap is remembered for the attribution window (30 days by default) and the order is still credited.

Inflow uses all three, and every order shows how it was credited. If the link and the code point to two different creators, the link wins by default (you can change it). With neither, Inflow does not guess: the order stays uncredited and you can attribute it by hand.

Why count delivered orders, not placed orders

With cash on delivery, a placed order is not a sale. Some parcels are refused at the door, others come back after delivery. Count placed orders and you pay commission on money you never collected.

Inflow follows each order’s status from your store. Commission stays pending until delivery, becomes earned when the order is delivered, then waits out a short hold (7 days by default) for late returns. Refused or cancelled: no commission. Returned or exchanged after delivery: the commission is reversed automatically. Details on How it works.

What you see, creator by creator

  • Clicks, orders, delivered orders and delivery rate for each creator, campaign and post (one link per post).
  • Delivered revenue and commission owed, with each order’s status.
  • How each order was credited (link, code, script or manual), so you can check any of them.
  • Things worth a look: repeat orders from the same phone for the same creator, several orders from one visitor in a day, orders placed within a minute of the click, creators with a high return rate. Nothing is cancelled on its own: you decide.

The creator sees the same orders and amounts in their own free portal. No more arguing about “how much did I sell”: both sides read the same record.

Set up tracking in 4 steps

  1. Connect your store in one click and approve access. Inflow reads orders and products, creates promo codes, and never edits your products, prices or orders.
  2. Invite your creators. Each gets a link, a code and a QR code to download.
  3. Set the commission: a percentage or a fixed amount, as a default and then per creator, campaign or product. See how much to pay an influencer.
  4. Let orders come in. They arrive within seconds, with an hourly backup sync.

Starter is free for up to 3 creators and 100 attributed orders a month. Other plans are on Pricing.

Influencer tracking questions

How do I know which influencer sold the most?

Give each influencer their own link and code, then compare delivered orders, not views or followers. In Inflow, creators are ranked by attributed orders, delivered orders and delivered revenue.

Can I track sales from an Instagram story?

Yes. The tracked link goes in a link sticker, and the promo code is shown on screen for people who do not tap. Both are credited to the same creator.

What about TikTok, where links under videos are not clickable?

The creator puts their link in bio and says their code in the video. In Inflow, orders through the bio link or the code count for their latest post, and each new post can have its own link.

Do I need to install a script on my store?

Not for promo codes, nor for orders placed on the page the creator’s link opened. A shopper who lands on your home page through the link, then opens a product and orders there, is credited only with the tracking script, like one who comes back later without the code.

What if a customer orders with neither link nor code?

The order stays uncredited: Inflow does not guess. You can attribute it to a creator by hand, and the action is logged.

Does tracking handle returns and refused parcels?

Yes, that is the core of the product. A refused or cancelled order earns nothing. An order returned after delivery has its commission reversed automatically.

How much does influencer sales tracking cost?

Starter is free (3 creators, 100 attributed orders a month, one store). Creators never pay, and Inflow takes no cut of commissions.
