How the calculator works
- Commission per order = average order value × rate, or the fixed amount per order.
- Delivered orders = orders placed × delivery rate. The others were refused at the door or cancelled.
- Kept orders = delivered orders × (1 − returns after delivery).
- On every order placed = orders placed × commission per order.
- On delivered orders, returns reversed = kept orders × commission per order. This is what the creator keeps, and what you pay.
The figures are estimates for one creator over one month. Order counts can come out with a decimal: they are averages, not real orders.
Why delivered orders, with cash on delivery
With cash on delivery, an order is a promise, not a sale. Some customers refuse the parcel, some are never reachable, some send it back after delivery. If commission is owed as soon as the order is placed, you pay the creator on parcels that brought you nothing, and often cost you a delivery fee.
Paying on delivered orders lines both sides up: the creator earns when you earn. It is also easier to explain: “you are paid on every order the customer kept.” For a full example in dinars, with tiers, see how much to pay an influencer.
How Inflow applies it to your real orders
- Every order placed through a creator’s link or code is credited to them, and its commission stays pending until the parcel is delivered (the default; you can choose shipped or confirmed instead).
- Once earned, the commission waits out a hold (7 days by default) before the creator can request it, to cover late returns.
- A refused or cancelled order earns nothing. An order returned or exchanged after delivery has its commission reversed on its own.
- The commission is a percentage or a fixed amount, on the product subtotal or the order total, set for the store and then per creator, campaign or product. Up to 5 tiers reward the creators who deliver the most.
- The creator sees the same order statuses you do, in their own portal.
The calculator uses your estimates. Inflow uses your real orders: see how it works.

Commission calculator questions
What is a good commission rate for an influencer?
There is no standard rate. Start from your margin per delivered order, after product and delivery costs, and keep the commission a fraction of it. Tiers let you raise the rate for creators who deliver the most.
What is the difference between the delivery rate and the return rate here?
The delivery rate is the share of placed orders that reach the customer; the rest are refused at the door or cancelled. The return rate is the share of delivered parcels sent back or exchanged afterwards.
Should the commission be a percentage or a fixed amount?
A percentage follows the basket; a fixed amount per order is easier for the creator to read. Inflow supports both, per store, creator, campaign or product.
Is the commission calculated before or after the promo code discount?
In Inflow, on the base you choose: the product subtotal with the code’s discount taken off, or the order total. In this calculator, the average order value is the base.
Does Inflow take a share of the commission?
No. Brands pay a subscription, monthly or yearly (Starter is free), creators never pay, and the commission goes from you to the creator by bank transfer.
Do you store the numbers I type?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent anywhere.
